Would you please pray for Mim? She started her first chemotherapy treatment at Tyler this past Thursday. She tolerated it well, is having no nausea, PTL, but by Saturday was experiencing extreme fatigue. Then, today,(Tuesday), she became very dissoriented, having trouble remembering things like her birthdate, what month it is, etc. Her husband took her to Dr.and they discovered she was very dehydrated and low on sodium (she thinks). After tests and an IV she went home this afternoon. This may be due to all her medications, insulin and chemo, but they want her to have another MRI. She will be having chemo treatments each Thursday until further notice, which do not help her struggle to maintain her sugar level, as she has no functioning pancreas. Please pray for physical healing, as well as spiritual strength to not become discouraged or fearful, and that her doctors will come up with the best treatment plan for her.

Justin Bach, Curt and Barb Bach's son, is currently being hospitalized for severe heart arrhythmia and will be having a heart catheterization procedure done. He is stationed in Germany right now. Please keep him and his family in prayer.
Also, my brother Paul has an appointment with a neurologist at the end of this month to discuss all of his test results. Please pray that they were able to find answers and that it is something that can be treated.

On Thursday the 14th I begin teaching "Lord, Heal My Hurts" by Kay Arthur at the women's faith based prison here in Florida. Most women are in for prostitution, drugs and alcohol and were abused either physically, sexually or emotionally or all of the above growing up. I could have 30 women sign up.

Over the holidays Ann and Bethany were in a car accident. They were stopped behind a school bus when another car hit them from behind. Ann is recovering, but Bethany has pain and trouble with her neck. She has acute muscle spasms that keep her head bent down to her right shoulder as well as a herniated disc with an annular tear. Thank you all for your prayers. God must have thought it was too early for Alayna to be delivered. When the doctor arrived yesterday he sent me home. He didn’t see any reason to induce me a week early as the PA who scheduled the induction did. So it looks like we will be repeating everything next Friday, if she doesn’t come on her own. Susan’s previous surgery revealed the infection was worse then they thought. It goes up her entire spine. The scans of her back indicated that the bones may have fused together in the last several months-- which is good news. Susan is in surgery right at this moment. The doctors are hoping to be able to remove both rods if the bones actually have fused. Unfortunately though, some curvature of the spine will return. One good note would be that Susan felt relief from all her pain after the doctors opened her up. She is on an antibiotic IV to continue to fight the infection. Please continue to pray for her and the family. Thank you!

Jennifer had a PET scan and it was a good report, the chemo is working! Thank you Lord! She was relieved. A few more chemo treatments, another PET scan and then radiation. Pray she and her family will start attending church after the flu season and when she is finished with treatment. All He asks for is our faith. Have a blessed Christmas. Don has been feeling a little better each day since this weekend. Sleeping and eating are coming a little easier. The itching and the jaundice are going away very slowly, but they are going – and that’s good news. Neither of us would have planned this, but God did. He knows His plans, even when we don’t!

Mim is having a procedure done Monday morning @ 7 AM to hopefully correct a painful digestive problem. Her surgeon will place a stint in a blocked byle duct somewhere near her pancreas, of which 80% was removed last year, due to cancerous tumor. There is some concern of possible recurrance of cancer, as reason for blockage is uncertain. Also, results of recent CAT scan showed spots on her liver. On Wednesday, Dr. will do scope to view entire digestive area , looking for any abnormalities. Please pray that these procedures go well, and especially that no new cancer growth is found. I wanted to thank everyone for there much needed prayers for Irene and my brother Paul. Irene is doing much better. She is starting to eat better and sleep better, so hopefully she will gain back some of the weight she lost. Her white blood cell count has gone back up, and the second round of blood work showed no abnormal cells...praise God! We are waiting for a blood culture to come back, but I don't believe it will show any other problems because she has been doing very well the past couple days and hasn't had a fever since thursday. She tested negative for mono and EBV. The doctor believes it was a serious virus, but does not believe we will be able to identify it.
My brother was tested for lymes disease on Friday and we are waiting for the results. He has his good days and his bad days. Please keep him in your prayers. He is so frustrated with not knowing what is going on.

They tested Paul for everything they could think of, but could not find anything. It is a praise that the serious conditions he tested for are not the issue, however it is frustrating for Paul to not know what is going on. He will see a specialist in December. Please keep him in prayer. Also, Irene had to return to the doctor's today because she still has a fever and it has been seven days. She was tested for the flu and we will get the results Monday. If she still has a fever on Monday she will have to have bloodwork, a urine test, and a chest xray done. Please pray for healing and that her fever will go away this weekend so that she will not require that testing. Thank you!

After parking her car on Tioga Street, Barbara stepped out of the car. She noticed a car coming up the road and the women driving was looking in the shops across the street. Barbara realized the car was heading right for her and she lunged up against her own car. At that very moment the other car struck and broke her door off. Praise God no one was hurt. The infection may be either bacterial or viral. The concern is that if it is bacterial it can destroy her joints. Please pray they will be able to treat it quickly before any damage is done.

My niece, 38 yr old Jennifer Kintner, had her biopsy surgery today...at U of P....surgeon did a "freeze slide??" and said it looks like a lymphoma but not a sarcoma (which would be really bad) but she couldn't/wouldn't commit for sure until the biopsy report is back........NEXT WEEK. So......the Lord is giving Jennifer and her husband Eddie even more time to contemplate life and getting right with the Lord. Thank you for continued prayers. Yesterday at U of Penn Hosp. Jen's Dr. explained there is a mass surrounded by little nodules and another lump on the other side of her neck. She is scheduled for a biopsy on Oct 1st so we should get results and know the plan by Oct 5th. Connie, my sister and I talked and she said, "Whatever it takes to get her right with the Lord." Amen. Praise the Lord!!! My co-worker's husband's test from his dentist can back fine. No cancer. He had detailed surgery on his jaw and gums and a biopsy was sent out and came back fine. My co-worker's husband has an issue with his tooth. He had a root canal started and then the second part of the root canal, but still had infection and soreness. Dr. Bereznek suggested he see a specialist because it has some of the same signs of mouth cancer. He has an appointment scheduled for tomorrow 9/17/09 in Kingston. They will lance and drain, had scrape some bone if necessary. Bonnie, my co-worker is the sole bread winner because her husband, Tom, has other issues and cannot work. Your prayers for Mom are so appreciated! She came home today and is doing well. The surgery showed the spots on the liver are benign...Praise God! They couldn't take the tumor in the bile duct as it was to close to the portal vein. They didn't even test it because if it is malignant, it could spread if disturbed. So they are leaving it alone, and will test her liver every 3 months to see what's happening if anything. She may be able to have a stint put in if she has problems in the future. If this is cancer, it's not the type they can treat with chemo or radiation. So we trust HIM for whatever lies ahead!Blessings...Trudy

My niece, Jennifer Kintner, has a large lump on her neck that could possibly be a lymphoma. We are in the process of going to University of Pennsylvania to get biopsy results. I just got back from measuring for a kitchen and the homeowner has a prayer request. His name is Andy, and he has been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. It has not spread, and he has elected to have surgery to have his prostate removed in 2 weeks. There is a blessing in this: He came to faith in Christ shortly after his diagnosis. His wife Denise is still unsaved and I was able to share with her using some of the things we have been studying in "The Way of the Master." She had a bad experience when a brother and sister had come to Christ a number of years ago and they had pressured her. Please pray that the Holy Spirit will take the Scriptures I shared and draw her to Christ, and for successful surgery and spiritual growth for Andy. Thanks,David

He said her tests showed some "abnormal" cells on the liver near the bile duct...maybe scar tissue, not sure. The tumor in the duct is non-aggressive, and he doesn't think it is malignant. During Gene Hordesky’s run last night he became too sick to continue. He parked the truck and called an ambulance. He was taken to the Lock Haven Hospital. The Dr. put him on some sort of cancer drug (a few hour IV drip) and some other medications. Mick seems to be doing a little better, so they took him off a few of the meds. Grady was back in PICU on Saturday because of breathing problem Theydid a procedure to open the airway, and he is awake and breathingeasy..Grady is aware of when someone isn't standing by and holding his hand.He wakes up moving his left arm up and around as if looking forsomeone to take it. As soon as someone does, he settles down. Theneuropsychologist has been positive about him being able to use hisright side, but to expect 6 months of rehabilitation..Please pray that the neurons will reroute themselves, and his limbswill work eventually. His basal ganglia is damaged, but they don'tknow the extent. Grady will tell us when he comes back - we know he'sin there!Grady is not on any meds except methadone and a steroid. He has abrace on his left arm so he can't pull out his tubes.Thank you for praying

He has to go back to Dr. Russell tomorrow to see how his weight is and how his jaundice count is. Pray for Audrey and Peter too as they are somewhat anxious.
